plasticizer DEHP?

Lately, The illegal use of the plasticizer DEHP in clouding agent for use in food has been reported in Taiwan.
Bis(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate, commonly abbreviated DEHP, is an organic compound with the formula C6H4(C8H17COO)2.
According to a future chemist, Reiko, yup! tats me...
Clouding agents are a type of food addictive used to make beverages such as fruit juices more cloudy, and thus more natural-looking and visually appealing, typically by creating an emulsion of oil droplets.
However, the excessive intake of this kind of chemical would bring negative effects on living organisms.
The negative impacts include smaller penis size and other feminizing links, obesity, cardiotoxicity and many more..
For your knowledge, the acute toxicity of DEHP is 30g/kg in rats (oral) and 24g/kg in rabbits (dermal). Concerns instead focus on its potential as an endocrine disruptor. Some countries have banned DEHP from toys.

Haiz, it's undeniable that all manufacturing foods possess chemical hazard to human body...
We have to choose wisely the type of food we consume and maintain a healthy lifestyle!
Peace.....@@
